If measuring an existing well-fitting bracelet, lay it flat and measure from the clasp tip to the catch hook.

To size a metal watch bracelet, subtract the watch's vertical Lug-to-Lug distance from your total wrist circumference. For example, on a 175 mm wrist with a 45 mm lug-to-lug watch case, the two metal bracelet sections combined must equal 130 mm (including clasp). Links can be added or removed with a link pin pusher tool.

Tennis bracelets look best with a snug to gentle comfort fit so diamond links remain upright and do not flip or snag. Measure your bare wrist circumference and add only 0.5 inches (1.25 cm). You should be able to slide exactly one finger comfortably between the tennis bracelet and your skin.

The standard, most common women's bracelet size is 7 inches (18 cm), fitting a standard 6.0 to 6.5 inch wrist. Petite/small bracelets measure 6.5 inches (16.5 cm), while medium/large bracelets measure 7.5 to 8.0 inches (19 to 20.3 cm).

To make a DIY bracelet sizer, cut a 1-inch (2.5 cm) wide strip of heavy cardstock approximately 10 inches (25 cm) long. Draw millimeter and inch tick marks starting from zero using a ruler. Cut a vertical slit at the zero mark, insert the pointed ruler tail through the slit, slide it over your wrist, and read your exact circumference and bracelet size.
