Step 1: Wrap flexible tape snug against your skin just below your wrist bone (toward elbow).
Step 2: Enter your exact bare circumference below (do not add extra slack — our calculator adds the fit ease automatically!).
Step 1: Wrap a 1.5 cm strip of paper or string flush around your wrist bone. Mark where the ends meet with a sharp pen.
Step 2: Lay the strip flat and measure against a desk ruler or credit card (each card = 8.56 cm). Enter that measurement below.
* Standard chain offset applies.
Based on a 16.5 cm bare wrist with standard +1.5 cm comfort ease allowance.
Fitting Tip: If your calculation lands between two commercial sizes, choose the larger size for beaded, charm, or thick link bracelets, and the smaller size for delicate chain bracelets.
How to Measure Wrist Size with a Measuring Tape
Follow these 4 jeweler-approved steps in exact chronological sequence to get your true anatomical wrist circumference, then watch the 45-second video tutorial below.
Position the Tape Just Below the Wrist Bone
Wrap a flexible tailor's tape around your wrist approximately 1 cm (0.5 inch) below your prominent wrist bone (towards your palm/hand), where bracelets and watches naturally sit.
Ensure Flush, Snug Contact (No Slack, No Pinch)
Wrap the tape all the way around without twisting. The tape must sit completely flat and flush against your skin with zero air gap, but without indenting or squeezing the skin.
Read the Exact Overlap Zero Mark
Look directly at the junction where the metal zero-end (0 mark) meets the measuring tape scale. Note down the exact reading in centimeters or inches.
Apply Jeweler's Sizing Ease Allowance
Never buy a bracelet equal to your bare wrist! Add an ease allowance based on your style and drape preference:

Jeweler Note: Measuring your dominant hand gives a slightly larger measurement (+0.5cm) due to muscle development. Measure the specific wrist you intend to wear the piece on!
Measure in the late afternoon or evening. Wrists swell slightly during warm weather or daily activity, preventing an overly tight fit.
Your dominant wrist (the hand you write with) is often 0.5cm to 1.0cm larger than your non-dominant wrist. Always measure the specific wrist you wear on.
Wrist measurement is for clasp bracelets and watches. Closed bangles must pass over your knuckles with your thumb tucked in.
How to Measure Wrist Size Without a Tape
Don't have a flexible measuring tape? Follow these sequential household steps using standard calibrated everyday items, then watch the 25-second video demo below.
Cut a Straight Paper Strip
Take a sheet of standard printer paper (A4 or US Letter) or notebook paper. Cut a clean, straight strip approximately 1.5 cm (0.5 inch) wide and at least 25 cm (10 inches) long.
Wrap Snug & Mark with a Fine Pen
Wrap the paper strip around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Ensure it sits flush against your skin without pinching. Use a sharp pen or pencil to draw a crisp line across the overlapping layer.
Lay Flat & Read Against a Flat Ruler
Unroll the marked paper strip flat on a desk. Measure the distance from the starting edge to your pen mark against any standard school/desk ruler or our calibrated on-screen ruler.
